PLASNOMIC NAMES BRIAN DRIEHORST CEO OF GLOBAL INITIATIVE TO DRIVE NEW PLASTIC REPAIR STANDARDS ALLIANCE

Plasnomic, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to revolutionizing plastic repairs in the collision industry, is proud to announce Brian Driehorst as CEO. Bringing a wealth of experience in collision repair, supply chain and auto insurance claims, Driehorst will lead the organization’s mission to establish global standards, certification and compliance for plastic repairs.

“The future of collision repair and emerging materials is evolving, and plastic repair must evolve with it,” said Driehorst. “At Plasnomic, we are committed to unifying the industry by setting new benchmarks for quality, consistency and environmental responsibility. By bringing together industry experts, specialty suppliers and innovators from around the world, we will shape a new era of OEM-friendly repair solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.”

Plasnomic is a global initiative dedicated to standardizing and certifying plastic repair processes in the collision industry.

While fostering a collaborative, technology-driven ecosystem to enhance repair processes and sustainability, Plasnomic’s first major initiative will be the formation of a multi-layered global advisory board and a network of technical ambassadors. This alliance will bring together plastic repair and collision experts, training bodies, specialty suppliers and leading paint companies to collaboratively define best practices, drive the adoption of standardized solutions across global markets, and evolve repair standards through groundbreaking innovation, research and sustainability efforts.

With over 50% of collision replacement parts now made from plastic, Driehorst said the need for standardized repair processes has never been more urgent. Plasnomic’s short-term goals include ensuring OEM-compatible methodologies and introducing specialized repair tools and materials, while also advancing innovation capabilities. These will include exploring the implementation of automation, AI-driven solutions and mobile applications to elevate plastic repair knowledge and capabilities across the industry.

Through localized partnerships with training bodies and OEMs, Plasnomic will provide collision repair shops with the necessary tools and structured training curricula to restore plastic components such as bumper covers, headlights and textured parts using standardized repair methodologies.

By reducing reliance on part replacements, Driehorst said Plasnomic is committed to safe and efficient plastic repair, while supporting sustainability initiatives across the industry.

Driehorst previously served as the chief revenue officer of Headlights.com, which operates the Headlights Depot and Original One Parts brands as leading suppliers of aftermarket lighting solutions to the collision industry.
