Kristi Werner Joins URG

Kristi Werner joins United Recyclers Group from Actual Systems of America
September 13, 2011 – Centennial, Colorado – To paraphrase an old piece of wisdom, one organization’s loss is another organization’s gain. Unless they both gain, and that’s what is happening as Kristi Werner moves from Actual Systems of America (ASA) to take the newly created Project Manager position at the United Recyclers Group (URG). ASA and URG are partners who have collaborated since the late 1990s on the development of Pinnacle and now, Pinnacle Pro, the nation’s leading auto recycling trading system.
“I am very excited about bringing Kristi on board,” says Michelle Alexander, executive director at URG. “Her background in project management fits perfectly with our growth strategy here. She will be working closely with me to grow URG and the benefits we offer our members. I expect that Kristi will also be interacting frequently with our members as she’ll be fielding many of the day-to-day questions we get on our existing URG programs and benefits.”  You can reach Kristi at 303-367-4391 or by email at Kristi@u-r-g.com.
Actual Systems of America and URG are working together to ensure a smooth transition for Kristi,” said Peter Bishop, ASA’s General Manager. ASA is headquartered in Aurora, CO. “Her experience with ASA will be invaluable to URG and help ensure that these two great partner organizations continue to complement and collaborate.”
URG is a great organization with amazing members,” says Kristi Werner. “I’ve always enjoyed working with Michelle and the top caliber people that URG attracts. Michelle and the URG Board of Managers have a lot of new projects in the works for me that will result in additional benefits for URG members, who represent the best and brightest in the auto recycling industry.”
Graduating in IT from St. Cloud State University (St. Cloud, MN) in 2005, Kristi moved to Denver to begin her career as a trainer at Actual Systems of America. “I didn’t really know much about the auto recycling industry back then,” she says. “But it didn’t take me long to start making good friends. So many recyclers are just friendly down to earth people, and it’s a pleasure getting to know them and working with them.”
The youngest of eight, Kristi was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota. She married her husband in 2008, and they enjoy the outdoors – snowboarding, hiking, camping, and running. Kristi has completely fallen in love with Colorado, except for one thing: she cheers on the Minnesota Vikings, not the Denver Broncos. “I’m from Minnesota. Get over it,” she advises her local friends. Kristi Werner hasn’t forgotten where she came from, whether it is Minnesota or ASA, and that’s a good thing.
